2005-2008 Hyundai Tucson Exhaust Leak Repair | V6 FWD
Today I show you how to change an exhaust on a 2006 Hyundai Tucson V6 FWD. I ended up ordering the wrong exhaust part by accident but I made it work with a welder. I've linked the FWD and AWD version of this exhaust piece for the V6 Tucsons below.

Today I show you the process I go through in finding the source of the oil leak in my wife's 2003 BMW X5 with the M54 engine. It ended up being the vanos line banjo bolt crush washers that were allowing oil to leak out and all over the side of the block down to the pan and onto the ground. Stay tuned for more videos! What yr chevy springs can you upgrade to?
Super helpful. Thanks a lot!
Very clear instructions; UA-cam at it's best. Thank you.
Just my opinion but no way was that the first time that bead was broken, that's not how the come off.
Good work
Nice truck
I had been searching for a video to show me just this hookup. I went through countless videos, and I found yours which was very helpful. Thanks, my man for your help.
Thanks you very much, it help me a lot
I did this adjustment i do have an LE model 1991 D350 with cruise control. Shifts much better now. I also added an inch block under the gas petal, is a common fix for more throttle control. The issue im having is i get to about 70 MPH or about 112 KPH. and i can not press my petal any past that if i hold it fully depressed it will slowly climb in speed. Is this factory settting for these trucks? Also im hitting about 2200 rpm max. Any suggestions would be appreciated! Great videos btw love the camper vids!
Hey , I've read that if you only have 1 tire off the ground and can spin it at all then your clutches are shot. what you think?
Would you happen to know how to get the weather seals on the electric motor cause mine are just non existents
The Oven’s “pre-heat” digital gauge set.
Tyler, question for you. Very intermittent problem, spedo and OD will not function. Driven 1km to 70km then the spdo and OD kick in again. Normally this will only happen when well below zero. The onoff onoffon test shows no faults. The heat/water lights function normally. I was wondering if I had a poor ground on the tranny. Love my truck! People keep trying to buy it in the Princess parking lot.
From my understanding the speedo and OD are separate functions. The speedo is operated off the VSS on the transmission, and then the OD is a function of a few different things from the PCM. Most typical issue when people are having OD issues is proper calibration of the TPS on the injection pump. I don't have a video on this but I believe Tim does.
@@OvensGarage Thank you, I will have a go at that.
Thanks again, mine were all clogged. 1985 F250. AK
Nice 🤙🏼
Keep it going!
Where did you get the new hoses coming from reservoir
Nice work and nice welder!
Hey Tyler, I stumbled across your channel about a year ago and it’s become one of the first places I go to when I don’t entirely know what I’m doing when repairing certain things on my 1992 dodge w250. I skimmed through your videos and couldn’t find for myself so I hoped I could just ask. Do you have anything regarding engine mounts for our first gens?
@tommystehr1393 nope I've never changed the motor mounts on any of my trucks..but if I do I'll make a video like always 😛
Sweet, gonna do this today 👍
I wonder if it is permissible to connect to multiple V+ or multiple V-, and if this helps with current capacity. I used to run a company designing switchers, and I can tell you that it depends on the detail of the design. Sometimes it is bad, sometimes it is OK. Nothing I have found online answers if it is OK with these Bosytro supplies. Unless I can find something assuring me that it is OK, I will connect to just one pair.
I found various sources claiming the multiple outputs are already tied together, and they are provided for connection capacity. I also tried ohmmeter (in both directions to eliminate any possibility of passing through a diode junction), and it came out 0ohms in both directions. So I tied them together. No problems so far.
What workshop book is that and where did you get it?
Great video, Tyler. I really enjoy your detail and clear explanations. Gonna send you an email about this, as I'm thinking of upgrading my turbo as well.
Would that leak on to manifold small drips ?? On x5 2011
could you please tell me the brand and model of you temp gun??? thanks
It's a maximum brand from Canadian Tire
That part at napa is a 4 pin relay, the starter is a 5 pin
I had to park my 1993 W350 1st gen Cummins because the front rear shackle mounts rusted off. The frame on the truck is otherwise solid still so I'd like to get her fixed. Do you know if Hogback Fabrication makes a kit like that for the rear?
Not sure about Hogback, but check out Archive Garage I believe he makes some.
@@OvensGarage Thanks for the tip and all your 1st gen videos. They're definitely going to help me get this old girl going again. I'm going to replace the shackles on the front as well. An old landscaper owned the truck and used it to plow snow. Engine has only 71K miles on it but the salt damage to parts of the truck is extensive. But I got her for free, and the frame is solid yet I'd rather restore and make an old truck reliable again than drive anything new with computer junk on it. lol Thanks again!
I’ve been chasing these problems way too long. You the man!
Thanks brother
Question... I am getting ready to do this upgrade, but I live in the south. So I need my ac to be on point. If I were to do the same install but mount the ac condenser on the front, would I be able to push the intercooler back the same thickness as the condenser? Do you think it would still fit with the grill not rubbing?
It might work, there was plenty of room behind the intercooler as well and my AC still works just fine.
@@OvensGarage Awesome, thanks for getting back to me.
do you have the same lift on all three trucks?
Yes they are all stock not lifted
Did you have to bleed the hydraulic clutch. If so how did you go about that?
It's a closed system no bleeding required.
Prob took you 30 min to put that O ring inside the cylinder
please share the music you used
Big bump stick, it's got that rump, rump, rump to it ! Sounds GREAT !
It should work on a 4x4 d250 shouldn’t it ?
Yes d250 or w250
Thanks for a great video. The BMW dealer here is a total ripoff artist. They charged my wife $202 (parts & labor) to replace the air filter in our ‘16 X5/35d. It’s a 5-minute job. They also charged over $280 for oil & filter and top off the DEF. next time I’ll do it myself and be happy to keep about $375 of that.
how's your getrag holding up? has it been rebuilt? mines getting fussy in 3rd
Still working great no rebuild over 400 000kms on it
Eh... i already have the dash mostly apart... might as well 😂😂 stupid brittle vacuum lines caused me to be there anyway
Hey Tyler, Any idea what size the yolk nut on the front of the T case is? Thanks
Man, I wish it was that easy to get past that key....what did you mean by just putting your screwdriver in to line it up
Thanks for the simple and detailed video. Both the doors on a 86 D150 I bought this year sag badly. It will be good to be able to shut and lock the doors. Such a cheap fix.
Its good that you got ALL of that potting compound out. More than likely it was much lighter in color when it was new. It looks like old Sony bond which becomes conducive and corrosive with time.
You can sometimes get a resistance reading across it with a meter
Im saving this video for future reference cause the only problems I had with my 1st gen are , dead short to ground in power feed to trans , fried ignition switch and i had to clean up the main disconnect plug on the battery cable coming out of the alternator.
What a clean truck!
When you rebuild thr jack posts can you make a video. I have the same ones and they need some love
Hey, that’s awesome! Need to do the same thing for my old skid steer that doesn’t have any analogue gauges. Have you posted the code and a schematic anywhere online?
i know its a an old video but its precicly what im trying to achive on my truck, but if your still around i have a question about your temperature sender is it just a standard 12/24volt sensor? its all i can find in that form factor and am i safe to assume sending 5 volts to it it should work just fine as ill still be plotting just the resistance change even though the sensor is rated for 12volts?
Bro you just saved me so much time when you said the one switch wasn’t clicking the same I knew mine was doing the same thing and I don’t have to tear everything apart now
Worthless video. You don't actually show how to do any of the steps.
I just bought a 2016 X5 M package, is it the same procedure?
